WillyNoir, born Ylian Wiegers in Amsterdam, is a Dutch-Brazilian dancer and international teacher with more than 10 years of experience teaching Afro House and Kuduro. A leading figure in the international Afro House and Kuduro community, he has helped introduce these styles to new audiences and build connections between dance communities around the globe.
As one of the pioneers bringing Afro House to audiences beyond its original communities, WillyNoir has dedicated his career to sharing the dance through workshops, performances and cultural exchange. His work across six continents connects teaching, major international artist collaborations and dance camps with one purpose: spreading the love for Afro House and Kuduro.
His teaching brings together foundations, musicality, footwork and personal expression. From helping beginners find their groove to challenging experienced dancers with detailed combinations, WillyNoir creates an energetic, welcoming atmosphere where students can learn, explore and connect.
Roots & influences
Born to a Brazilian dancer mother and a musician father, WillyNoir grew up surrounded by music and movement. His childhood influences included Michael Jackson, Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul and House, alongside the percussion and dance of his Afro-Brazilian heritage.
His passion led him deeper into Afro House and Kuduro, learning from pioneers and communities within the African diaspora. Years of training, travel and cultural exchange have shaped both his movement and his approach to teaching. In his classes, he encourages students to understand the foundations behind the steps while developing their own way of dancing.
Teaching around the world
WillyNoir’s international career has taken him across six continents, teaching workshops and performing, with repeat visits to many destinations. His classes bring together dancers from different backgrounds, connected by their curiosity and love for Afro House and Kuduro.

Europe: The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Ukraine and Luxembourg, as well as Russia and Türkiye.
North America: The United States, Canada and Mexico.
South America: Colombia, Chile and Brazil.
Africa: Tunisia, South Africa and Morocco.
Asia: The United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Singapore, Malaysia and India, with additional appearances in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Oceania: Australia.
His teaching has featured at international events including Oyofe Festival, c/o pop and the Centre Chorégraphique James Carlès’ international workshops. Through filmed classes, online collaborations and coverage by platforms such as AfroConex, his work reaches dancers beyond the studio.
Afro Drip & Afro Jam Dance Camps
WillyNoir is the main organizer of Afro Drip Dance Camp and Afro Jam Dance Camp, among the world’s biggest African street dance camps. With events in Amsterdam and Bangkok, he brings together teachers and dancers from the African continent and its diaspora.
The camps combine workshops, performances, parties and cultural exchange, giving participants opportunities to learn directly from artists and explore the cultures behind the movement. They reflect his commitment to dance education and to building a worldwide community through Afro House, Kuduro and African street dance.
International collaborations & features
WillyNoir’s career includes major collaborations and featured appearances with artists from around the world, bringing his dance and music to audiences across different genres and cultures.
He has worked with brands including Adidas, Nike and ASICS, and artists such as Lost Frequencies, Yuri da Cunha, Davido, Alo Wala and Scro que Cuia. His screen work includes a featured dance appearance in the music video for Lost Frequencies & Zonderling’s “Crazy.” His music production work also includes collaborations with Sahara Rose.
Music releases & dance challenges
As an artist and producer, WillyNoir creates energetic Afro House music and beats, producing tracks independently and collaborating with Angolan producers. His music connects his work in the studio with his passion for dance, bringing rhythms made for movement to listeners around the world.
His releases are available on Spotify and across major streaming platforms, accompanied by visuals and music videos on YouTube. These projects bring sound, choreography and performance together, giving dancers new music to explore and make their own.
Through dance challenges, WillyNoir invites people worldwide—especially the dance community—to join in, create their own interpretations and share their movement. Each release becomes an opportunity to connect dancers across countries and spread the energy of Afro House.
DJ sets & live performance
With over 15 years of experience DJing and producing music, WillyNoir has performed DJ sets in countries around the world, bringing the same energy behind the decks that he brings to the dance floor.
His sets focus on African electronic underground sounds, moving through Afro House, Kuduro, Batida and Gqom, alongside influences from the wider African diaspora, including Baile Funk and Dancehall. Driving percussion, unexpected rhythms and powerful grooves shape performances built for movement.
As both a dancer and a DJ, WillyNoir responds to the crowd with a dancer’s understanding of rhythm and energy. His performances invite people to explore unfamiliar sounds, express themselves freely and connect through a shared love of music.
